Typical Australian gum trees by a creek.

Paint gum trees and a creak in oils or acrylics.
This is a fun painting exercise which will help you learn to load and unload the brush with deliberate strokes.
Any medium can be used, oil, acrylic, water color, pencil, crayon.
Take your time and paint these gum trees by the creek scene. The lesson is about 27 minutes long so you will need to stop and start the video many times.

Do keep your background pale and when working on your big gum trees
make sure you use bright crispy colors without letting them get muddy from over working.
Try to place your paint on in definite brush strokes and wipe your brush clean each time before picking up fresh paint.
Here are the colors I recommend for this gum tree painting.
White, if you are painting in oils use titanium white, ultramarine blue, phthalo blue, warm yellow, raw sienna, burnt sienna, crimson and warm red.
Try to use these colors and get into the habit of mixing your colors from a limited palette and this way your paintings will look more natural.
Keep the background low so you have about two thirds above the eye level.
